What does the future hold for our Foundation?
The unhappy truth is, current funding for Public Education in the state of Colorado is simply not sufficient to meet the on-going and ever-increasing demand for high quality of services. Recent reports indicate that the state is not operating efficiently, and as a result the levels and quality of educational services are suffering.
We are dedicated to filling the gap.
The Cherry Creek Schools Foundation aims to address these needs by investing in two additional initiatives. We will expand excellence in education by funding initiatives that impact student achievement and we want to drive community support for educators and district priorities around college preparedness for all students.
In addition to our established program funding, the Foundation has committed to raising funds for two areas within the science, technology, engineering and mathematics curriculum. (Click on the links for more information.)
- Institute for Science and Technology
- Implementation of FOSS Science Curriculum for all Elementary Schools
These additional initiatives will provide support to the district plan for a rigorous and focused program of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in every school by 2012-13, and prepare our students to contribute to the highly educated Colorado workforce.
